K-6 Art
K-6 art students have been actively engaged in learning and creating this school year! Each grade level has been introduced to various artists, techniques, cultures, and materials. Students are continuing to improve their skills through the artistic process, self-reflection opportunities, conversations with peers, and teacher-student conversations. The skills students learn while creating art are easily transferable to all areas of learning! Through the creative process, students learn to problem-solve and persevere when presented with a challenge.
We are proud to share that over 100 Central Lee artists were featured at this year's Fort Madison Budding Artist Show! I am so thankful for the efforts of the Fort Madison Area Arts Association and its volunteers who make this event possible each year. There are very few opportunities for elementary students to present their work publicly, and it's fantastic to be able to present the talented Central Lee artists and their creations.
