Central Lee Community School District earned strong ratings in the 2024-25 Iowa School Performance Profiles, with the high school recognized as “High Performing” and the middle and elementary schools designated as “Commendable.”

Central Lee High School achieved “High Performing” status for the fourth consecutive year and ranked third among all Iowa high schools for the second straight year. The school also posted a 97 percent graduation rate, compared to the state average of 88 percent, and a postsecondary readiness score of 95 percent, well above the state average of 70 percent.

Central Lee Middle School earned a “Commendable” rating for the second year in a row. Students scored above state proficiency averages in English language arts, math, and science, and also outpaced the state average on student growth in all areas.

Central Lee Elementary also earned a “Commendable” designation, with math proficiency reaching 87 percent, compared to the state average of 71 percent. Similar to the middle school, all content areas scored above the state average.

District-wide, Central Lee reported a chronic absenteeism rate of seven percent, less than half the state average of 16 percent.

“We are proud of the accomplishments of our schools and, most importantly, our students,” said Dr. Andy Crozier, Superintendent. “Our mission is to ensure every child receives a well-rounded, high-quality education. These results reflect the hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the support of our families and community. We look forward to helping students reach even greater heights in the years ahead.”

The district credits its success to a positive school environment, programs that support both academic growth and lifelong skills, and collaboration among educators. Instruction is designed to meet whole-group, small-group, and individual learning needs, contributing to continued strong outcomes across all grade levels.

The Iowa Department of Education releases the School Performance Profiles annually to measure and compare performance across public schools statewide. The initiative, launched in 2018, fulfills state and federal reporting requirements by providing transparent report cards for families and communities.
