On October 2, the kindergarten classes took their first field trip of the year to Appleberry Orchard and Lee County Conservation.
The purpose of the field trip was to learn about the lifecycle of plants by exploring the lifecycle of the apple at Appleberry Orchard. Students learned how the apple trees are pollinated and how the apples grow throughout the year. Students met and fed the animals and played at Appleberry Acres.
While at Lee County Conservation, students learned about wildlife, vegetation, and the habitat of Iowa. They explored the prairie and the Mighty Mississippi, then met and played with some of the conservation’s animals.
