Brian Wells

The Central Lee Community School District has named Brian Wells as its next transportation director starting in the 2026-27 school year.

Wells brings 26 years of experience in the district, most recently serving as PK-8 at-risk coordinator. In that role, he managed daily bus arrival and dismissal procedures and supervised behavior management across the district’s transportation fleet.

As transportation director, Wells will oversee bus routes, coordinate drivers, ensure student safety, and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.

“Brian’s experience working directly with students, his leadership with our bus drivers, and his understanding of our transportation system make him an excellent fit to lead this department,” said Superintendent Dr. Andy Crozier. “He has built strong relationships with our students, families, and transportation staff, and we are confident he will continue to prioritize safety, efficiency, and positive relationships across our district.”

A graduate of Central Lee, Wells was inducted into the Central Lee Hall of Fame as part of its inaugural class in 2020 for his accomplishments on the baseball field as a student-athlete in the late 1980s.

He will begin his duties as transportation director on July 1, 2026.
