We are Rounding up HAWKS who SOAR as Leaders at Central Lee Elementary!
As part of our ongoing implementation of The Leader in Me and the 7 Habits, we have created our first Student SOAR Team. Fifth graders were able to apply for the leadership role in October. Forty-six students applied, showing us that students are interested in growing in their leadership skills and helping support a positive school culture. The Student SOAR Team will meet weekly, during lunch, with Mrs. Fuger to plan for leadership events, problem-solve, and share feedback about their student experience. They had the opportunity to meet Cindi McDonald, our Franklin Covey Coach, and share about our school facility upgrades and each location’s leadership expectations. These leaders are also planning holiday activities that elementary students will participate in before winter break. Opportunities are available for nearly all students to engage in leadership roles in their classrooms and our school. #Proud2bCL
