New York City, March 18th – On the fourth day of their NYC trip, the CLHS music department had a day filled with unforgettable experiences. The group started the day exploring the beauty of Central Park before visiting the historic St. Patrick’s Cathedral, which has been a symbol of New York since its opening in 1879. The group then toured the USS Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, located aboard the 900-foot USS Intrepid on the Hudson River.
Then evening continued with a dinner at Ellen’s Stardust Diner, where guests enjoyed the dinner entertainment. The day concluded with watching The Lion King at the Minskoff Theater. It was a day full of culture, history, and entertainment, making it an unforgettable experience for all involved.

The CLHS Music Department is currently in New York City for their 2025 performance tour. After flying out of St. Louis, the group has already enjoyed several exciting experiences, including a tour of Radio City Music Hall, meeting one of the Rockettes, and exploring Chinatown and Little Italy. The students also visited Times Square, sang a few songs at Grand Central Station and participated in the 264th NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
In the next few days, the choir will perform at the Chapel of St. John the Divine, the fourth largest cathedral in the world. The department is excited to share their talents and make lasting memories on this incredible tour.
