It's National Volunteer Appreciation Month and Public School Volunteer Week! A huge THANK YOU to all the volunteers who help out our schools. From chaperoning field trips to assisting with activities, we appreciate everything you do for our students, staff, and community! 🙏

The Central Lee High School Art Students are showing art in two locations currently! You can go and view their work at the Fort Madison Art Center until the end of April and the Conference Art Show at SCC in Burlington in the Gallery until May 6th! Amazing work by our amazing students!

ISASP testing for students in grades 3-8 begins this week! Best of luck to our students! Please ensure students receive a healthy breakfast or are at school on time for our breakfast. School breakfast will be provided at the regular cost. If students are absent or tardy during any of the scheduled test times, they will be required to make up the tests the following week. Let’s have another great week of testing!

Congratulations to the CLHS 2024 Prom Court. Prom King & Queen will be crowned following Promenade at CLHS new gym on April 27th at 4 pm. Promenade & Crowning will be open to the public.

9 members of the Central Lee FFA met the rigorous requirements of the Iowa FFA degree in 2024. Requirements include an outstanding Supervised Agricultural Experience program, success in the classroom, several hours of community service, and a lengthy list of FFA activities. The successful candidates were recognized at the 96th State FFA Convention in Ames, Iowa. 🚨Update: Tonight's high school girls and boys soccer games vs Columbus have been postponed. Additionally, the high school girls and boys golf matches against New London are postponed for tonight.

4 members of the Central Lee FFA competed in the State Biotechnology event held at the 96th State FFA Convention recently in Ames, Iowa. The group scored high in all 3 areas of the contest which included identification of biotechnology equipment, a written knowledge exam and a group problem solving activity. Sidney Gruntmeir of the Central Lee FFA received 1st place at the State FFA convention recently in division V(Animal Systems) of the state agriscience fair. Sidney is eligible for the National FFA Agriscience Fair at the National FFA convention held in Indianapolis in October. The National FFA Agriscience Fair recognizes students who gain real-world, hands-on experiences in agricultural enterprises. Students use scientific principles and emerging technologies to solve complex problems related to agriculture, food, and natural resources. The agriscience fair is for middle and high school students. Participation begins at the local level and progresses to state and national levels. #CTEworksforCL

Central Lee High School is excited to perform the family-friendly comedy "Doctor Evil and the Basket of Kittens" by Brian D. Taylor. Doctor Evil, with financial support from the Council, plans to take over the world with her newly invented thermal ray. However, a mummy in the closet, a family of werehyenas, and a basket of kittens might throw a monkey wrench into her plan. High School Golf and Middle School Soccer have both been cancelled for tonight (4-16) due to the weather.

Alan Bollin of the Central Lee FFA was a finalist in the 2024 Iowa FFA Talent competition at the State FFA Conference and Convention. Several thousand students were treated to the FFA talent. #CTEworksforCL

The Central Lee FFA participated in the 2024 State FFA convention in Ames, Iowa. The delegation was given a tour of the campus on a new electric CyRide bus.
