Thirty-four Central Lee Middle Schoolers were accepted to sing in the Southeast Iowa Choral Directors Association Honor Choir that was held on Friday, February 7th on the Indian Hills Community College Campus in Ottumwa. Students learned the music prior to the event and spent the day rehearsing with the guest conductors, ending the day with a concert.

Lucas Wenke and Connor Bollin’s internship, through our Work-Based Learning Program, at CNH Ag outside of Montrose. This experience has helped launch them forward toward a future career. The hands on learning of the skills, knowledge, and experience it takes to be successful on this career path has given them a leg up in life. Central Lee will be on a two hour late start on Thursday, February 6, 2025 due to icy conditions. No AM activities. Hawks Place will open at 9 a.m.

Congratulations to Austin Fogarty from CLHS and Ashton Sullivan from CLMS for representing Central Lee at the 2025 Southeast Iowa Bandmasters Association Honor Band on January 25th at the Voxman Music Building, University of Iowa. Students from across the conference auditioned for this opportunity, performing scales, a solo, and selected etudes. Preparing for this audition takes dedication and hard work, and we are proud of Austin and Ashton for their accomplishment!

Due to forecasted icy conditions this afternoon, Central Lee CSD will dismiss at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. There will be no evening activities or Hawk's Place.

On February 2, Central Lee High School students showcased months of research at the 2025 Local Science Fair! Many have been working since last spring to refine and conduct their experiments. 🔬 Thank you to the Lee County Conservation Center for hosting and to our dedicated judges for their time and support. Congratulations to all participants on their hard work and discoveries! 👏
