Please join us in welcoming Danielle Smith, our new Hawk’s Place Coordinator, to the Central Lee Community School District! 🦅 Danielle is thrilled to start this journey and lead the program to new heights—with your support!
During her time in Iowa, Danielle has been actively involved in the community, coaching the Donnellson soccer team, working at the wonderful Donnellson Library, and substitute teaching all grades in Central Lee. Her passion for science, backed by an associate's degree, makes her the perfect fit for Hawk's Place.
She has two children attending Central Lee: one going into first grade, while the other is in high school and will occasionally help out at Hawk's Place. Danielle plans to continue popular activities such as the test kitchen and partnership with the Fort Madison Art Association.
Moving forward, Danielle plans to establish a monthly theme at Hawk’s Place and help kids explore various STEM activities, including coding, dominos, chess, card games, scavenger hunts, and more. Field trips are also on the agenda! She invites teachers, high school students, and community members to get involved at Hawk’s Place. Students can earn volunteer hours, which look great on a resume!
✨ Danielle is eager to meet all of you and assist your children in their journey at Hawk's Place. Let’s give her a warm welcome!
