The Middle School Community Service Day on May 10 was a great success! The weather was perfect, and the staff and students did an amazing job at the various sites. We had over 250 students participate, and all middle school staff plus a few parents!
Students were sent to the following locations:
Montrose Care Center,
Montrose Ball Park,
St. Barnabas Church in Montrose,
Montrose Riverfront (MRI),
Jim's Greenhouse,
Heron Bend Conservation Center,
Appleberry Orchard,
Birkwood Assisted Living Village,
Kensington Assisted Living,
City of Donnellson,
City of Keokuk,
River Hills Village,
Food Pantry in Fort Madison,
Pollmiller Park,
and some stayed at school to help with turf and to make crafts for a local nursing home.
Students performed a range of jobs from picking up trash, cleaning up limbs and debris, planting flowers, activities with residents, and general cleaning.
Thank you to everyone who made this day so successful!

Happy National Speech Pathologist Day! Let's celebrate the incredible work of speech language pathologists who play a vital role in helping students overcome speech challenges and communicate effectively. Thank you for all you do! 🎉

The following are general duties expected of all officers: • A genuine desire to be part of a leadership team. • A willingness to accept responsibility. • A sincere desire to work with all chapter members in meeting their leadership, personal and chapter goals.• A commitment to lead by example. • Knowledge and understanding of the chapter, state and national FFA constitutions, bylaws and programs. • A working knowledge of parliamentary procedure. • The ability to memorize official ceremonies.
