Central Lee Elementary students were educated by LEECOMM employees, Nicole Fraise, Schuyler Westermeyer, and Payton Jarvis before spring break. Mascot, LEECOMM Larry, made an appearance. Students, teachers, associates, Principal Fuger, and School Resource Officer Haney, were excited to give Larry high-fives and hugs! Scenarios were shared where it is appropriate to utilize 9-1-1. Students were reminded that if they call 9-1-1 by accident they need to stay on the line to answer all questions of the dispatcher before hanging up. It was highlighted that, most-importantly, students should remain calm, know where they are, and speak clearly to dispatchers.
