The Central Lee Ag-Ed/FFA Ag-Ed II classes(38 students) participated in a soil judging event recently near Wapello, Iowa. Important aspects of soil were studied in the classroom and those activities were brought to life with hands-on learning in the field. Band Alumni, you are invited to join the entire band program on the field for the pregame performance at the 2023 Homecoming Game on Friday, October 6th. During the game, agricultural statistics were announced to the audience to recognize the importance of agriculture to Lee County and Iowa. In cooperation with Lee County Farm Bureau, the group also expressed the importance of agriculture in Lee County through quizzes and games. Central Lee will be in a two-hour delay on Thursday, September 28, 2023 due to AM fog conditions. There will be no AM preschool or AM activities this morning.

The Central Lee Color Guard Camp performed at the September 15 football game. This event was sponsored by the CL Music Department and choreographed by the high school color guard squad.
Students will be dismissed at 12pm on Friday, October 6th, so they can attend and participate in the Homecoming Parade that will take place at 2pm in Montrose. Go Hawks!
The SouthSound Marching Band Clinic, sponsored by the Central Lee Music Department, was held at Central Lee on September 19th. Bands from around the Tri State region received instruction from Jim DePriest, retired Mt. Pleasant high school band director, on ways to improve their show, further the students knowledge and ability in the fundamentals of marching and to help with the overall aspects of their marching program. In addition to each band receiving a clinic, students were able to attend a session centered around marching basics. Overall education is a driving force behind the Central Lee Music Department and the SouthSound Marching Band Clinic was designed to further the musical education of all students.
Congratulations to the Central Lee volleyball team for winning their 5 team pool tonight and advancing to the Finals on Saturday at SCC! Go Hawks!
Central Lee is hosting round 1 of the SEISC Volleyball Tournament starting at 5pm tonight. The top 2 teams in our pool will advance to play at SCC on Saturday. Come out and support the Hawks!
