The Pilot Grove Savings Bank has been instrumental in supporting Agricultural Education and FFA at Central Lee High School. Recently they donated $1000 to the purchase of a plasma cutting table. The new technology will enhance career and technology education at Central Lee. Students at Central Lee experience essential classroom knowledge and use that knowledge to practice "hands on" activities similar to what they would experience in industry. Please join us in celebrating School Board Recognition Month! Thank you to Central Lee Community School Board members Kim Hasek, Bill Young, Mark Hulsebus, Brock Westfall and Tony Sciumbato.
As elected officials, the Board of Education serves as a link between the Central Lee community and the classrooms. They are responsible for approximately 1,100 students and 150 staff members and serve Argyle, Donnellson and Montrose.
These elected members create school policy, approve curricula, develop innovative opportunities, and maintain school facilities. Board members must enhance their understanding of state and federal education law; the complexities of school finance, including budgets and taxes; and the importance of maintaining a positive district culture. They spend many hours in board training programs and personal study, while also advocating for public schools with their local legislators.
And this year, they have navigated our district through a global pandemic, making difficult and unprecedented decisions that affect the health and safety of our students and staff.
Please join us as we celebrate the outstanding leadership of the Central Lee School Board and thank them for their continued service during @IASB_Iowa School Board Recognition Month! #Proud2bCL #CelebrateIASchoolBoards

Thank you Senator Joni Ernst for keynoting our annual FFA banquet. Our students were thrilled to have you with us this evening! #Proud2bCL
