On March 16th, Central Lee Middle School had 37 projects with 47 students competing at the Eastern Iowa Science and Engineering Fair in Cedar Rapids, IA. Students competed against different schools in the Eastern part of the state, and were judged by multiple judges for class placings along with many special awards judges for other awards and prizes! Drake Newton received Junior Champion in Biological Division and Caedon Newton received Junior Champion in Physical Division. That earned them both a trip to Las Angeles, California as observers for the International Science and Engineering Fair in May! Congratulations to all the researchers on their hard work and dedication to science!
